Dynamo Deadlock Guide (2026): Build, Abilities & Singularity
Learn Dynamo abilities, the current support build, skill priority, ally teleports, Aurora healing, Singularity setups, combos, and counterplay.
Keeping allies healthy until the enemy groups, then warping the fight with one protected multi-hero Singularity
Updated July 21, 2026: Dynamo is a medium-complexity mystic who knocks enemies up with a ground pulse, becomes briefly untargetable while teleporting, channels healing around nearby allies, and pulls a team into a stunning Singularity.
Dynamo wants to remain close enough to support without becoming the first target. Kinetic Pulse interrupts the approach, Quantum Entanglement changes position and restores stamina, Rejuvenating Aurora sustains the formation, and Singularity ends the waiting game only after enemies group and allied damage is ready.
Current meta snapshot: Tracklock’s standard-mode, all-rank table showed Dynamo at a 26.92% pick rate and 52.45% win rate when checked July 21. These numbers move as matches arrive; they explain why this guide exists, not what every future patch will look like.
Dynamo At A Glance
| Question | Current answer |
|---|---|
| Game-data type | Mystic |
| Practical role | Teamfight controller, area healer, knockup support, and untargetable group repositioner |
| Complexity | 2 of 3 |
| Starting health | 880 |
| Move speed and stamina | 6.7 m/s and 3 stamina |
| Best at | Keeping allies healthy until the enemy groups, then warping the fight with one protected multi-hero Singularity |
| Main risk | Showing the ultimate channel too early or using Quantum Entanglement without accounting for allies who may be moved with Dynamo |
Dynamo Abilities
| Slot | Ability | What it does | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Kinetic Pulse | Sends an energy pulse along the ground that deals Spirit damage and knocks enemies up. | Interrupt an entry, set up allied damage, clear space around the backline, or create the moment needed to reposition. |
| 2 | Quantum Entanglement | Makes Dynamo briefly untargetable while teleporting to the selected location and restores stamina; an upgrade can bring nearby allies. | Avoid a critical hit, cross a small gap, rescue nearby teammates, or create the angle for Singularity without surprising allies with an unwanted move. |
| 3 | Rejuvenating Aurora | Channels healing over time for Dynamo and nearby allies. Dynamo can dash and melee without ending the channel. | Sustain a grouped push, heal through objective pressure, and keep moving defensively while maintaining the channel. |
| 4 | Singularity | Creates a singularity in Dynamo's hands that deals Spirit damage over time, stuns, and pulls nearby enemies inward. | Catch several committed enemies after allied follow-up and personal protection are in position. |
Dynamo wins through timing more than surprise alone. Aurora buys time, Pulse interrupts, and Entanglement protects or repositions the formation. Singularity is the major payoff, but its channel needs allied damage, sufficient range, and protection from interruption. A one-target ultimate can be correct when that target decides the fight.
Best Dynamo Ability Order
Tracklock’s largest completed skill-max route on the July 9 patch prioritized:
- Kinetic Pulse
- Rejuvenating Aurora
- Quantum Entanglement
- Singularity
This is the largest completed max-order route in the current standard-match sample. It prioritizes repeatable knockup pressure and team sustain before the reposition. Singularity remains decisive at base value even when its final upgrades arrive last.
Dynamo Build
| Stage | Current popular package | What it supports |
|---|---|---|
| Early | Headshot Booster, Extra Charge, Headhunter, Extra Regen | Supports lane pressure and repeated ability access while giving Dynamo enough recovery to stay near allies. |
| Core | Mystic Expansion, Warp Stone, Rapid Recharge, Arcane Surge | Improves area control, creates the ultimate angle, and keeps charged abilities and Spirit pressure available. |
| Late | Duration Extender, Greater Expansion, Compress Cooldown, Refresher | Broadens and lengthens teamfight control while enabling more frequent or repeated high-impact casts. |
Tracklock currently shows only 36 pro games in this rolling sample, so exact frequencies are directional. The coherent route is clear: lane pressure and charges, then expansion, Warp Stone, cooldown, duration, and eventually Refresher. Each purchase improves Dynamo's ability to reach and hold the right area for the team.
This is a dated route, not a shopping script. Check the live Dynamo pro-build sample, compare alternatives in the Deadlock builds guide, and use the items guide when the enemy composition demands a counter purchase.
Situational Purchases
- Buy Unstoppable when a predictable interrupt consistently ends Singularity.
- Use Healing Booster when Aurora is affecting several allies and enemy anti-heal is not overwhelming the channel.
- Choose Spirit Resilience or another direct defense when Dynamo cannot survive long enough to finish the control window.
How To Play Dynamo
Lane
Use Kinetic Pulse to punish a predictable soul confirm and create safe weapon pressure. Extra Charge allows repeated threats, but keep Quantum Entanglement available when the enemy can turn the lane. Aurora should heal meaningful damage on both Dynamo and the lane partner when possible.
Mid Game
Move with allies and approach from a side that keeps Warp Stone hidden. Pulse the first engage, sustain the group with Aurora, then use Entanglement or Warp Stone to find Singularity range after enemies spend movement.
Teamfights
Do not announce the ultimate from the front. Let the enemy group around an objective or ally, reposition into range, and channel Singularity where teammates can immediately add damage. A defensive pull on divers can be more valuable than chasing the backline.
Late Game
Track interrupts and defensive actives before committing. Refresher creates a second opportunity only if Dynamo survives the first. Keep an Entanglement path and allied follow-up in mind, and avoid moving teammates into danger without warning.
Dynamo Combos And Fight Patterns
- Basic catch: Kinetic Pulse for knockup, step or Warp Stone into range, then Singularity while allies focus the pulled targets.
- Sustain turn: channel Rejuvenating Aurora while dashing with the team, Pulse the pursuer, then Quantum Entanglement the group away from the dangerous area.
- Double control: catch the first group with Singularity, survive and reposition, use Refresher after enemy escapes are spent, then threaten a second pull rather than recasting into empty space.

How To Counter Dynamo
- Spread before committing so Singularity cannot catch the whole team.
- Save an interrupt, displacement, or immunity for the ultimate channel.
- Apply anti-heal before fighting through Rejuvenating Aurora.
- Track Quantum Entanglement before investing major burst.
- Attack Dynamo from several angles so Kinetic Pulse cannot stop every approach.
Common Dynamo Mistakes
- Using Singularity before allied damage is in range.
- Teleporting teammates into a worse position without warning.
- Channeling Aurora while standing still and easy to focus.
- Building only ultimate area while one interrupt always ends the channel.
- Holding Singularity forever while a one-target catch would secure the objective.
Dynamo Lore
Professor Dynamo investigated a space-time rift in Central Park and had his body atomized into a tiny dying star. His spirit and curiosity survived, and the Columbia professor continues teaching while studying his extraordinary condition.

Dynamo FAQ
What is the best Dynamo build?
The current small pro sample emphasizes charges, Mystic Expansion, Warp Stone, Rapid Recharge, cooldown, duration, Refresher, and protection for the ultimate channel.
Can Dynamo teleport allies?
Quantum Entanglement can bring nearby allies after the relevant upgrade, so communicate before moving the group.
What should Dynamo max first?
The largest completed current route maxes Kinetic Pulse, then Rejuvenating Aurora, Quantum Entanglement, and Singularity.
What counters Dynamo?
Spreading, saved interrupts, anti-heal, tracking Entanglement, and multi-angle pressure reduce Dynamo's grouped control and sustain.
Sources And Methodology
Hero type, complexity, starting stats, ability names, and ability descriptions were checked July 21, 2026 against the current Deadlock API asset data. That independent project parses the live game files; it is not Valve.
The meta snapshot comes from Tracklock’s standard hero table. The item package comes from its rolling 36-game Dynamo pro sample, and the skill priority comes from completed normal matches on the July 9 patch. Tracklock says it captures a large proportion of matches, not every match. Pick rate, win rate, item frequency, and completed-build win rate answer different questions and must not be treated as interchangeable proof.
Valve’s July 9, 2026 update is the current official patch reference. Deadlock remains in active development, so recheck the live build and patch notes before copying a route into a later version.
