Silver Entangling Bola In Deadlock: How The Slow, Movement Lockout, And May 31 Cooldown Change Work
Silver 3 is Entangling Bola, a spirit-damage slow that blocks movement abilities or stamina use but no longer blocks jumping and mantling after May 22.
Entangling Bola is Silver telling movement tech to wait outside.
Short answer: Entangling Bola throws a spirit-damage bola that slows the target and prevents movement abilities or stamina use. Since Valve’s May 22 update, it no longer prevents jumping and mantling.

Entangling Bola Silver throws a bola that deals spirit damage, slows enemies, and blocks movement abilities or stamina use. |
Current Mechanics
Deadlock.one’s current Silver data lists Entangling Bola with a 23-second cooldown, 0.24-second cast delay, 40 damage with 1.6 spirit scaling, -20 percent move speed, and a 1.5-second debuff duration.
The important wording is movement abilities or stamina. Bola is not a full hard stun. It is a tool for making dashes, stamina escapes, and mobility buttons stop carrying the target out of Silver’s threat range.
Upgrade Path
- 1 AP: strengthens the movement-speed slow by 25 percentage points.
- 2 AP: -8s cooldown.
- 5 AP: +0.75s debuff duration, and Bola ricochets to 2 additional targets.
The T2 cooldown upgrade is the practical one for repeated catches. The T3 ricochet is the teamfight upgrade: suddenly the bola is no longer just a one-person leash.
Key Patch Changes
Valve’s Gameplay Update – 05-22-2026 says Entangling Bola no longer prevents jumping and mantling. The same note changed T2 from +0.75s duration to -5s cooldown, and changed T3 from -5s cooldown plus ricochet to +0.75s duration plus ricochet.
Valve’s Minor Update – 05-31-2026 increased Entangling Bola cooldown from 20s to 23s and increased T2 from -5s cooldown to -8s.
How To Use It
Throw Bola before the target commits their escape, not after they are already gone. It is best when it turns a chase into a shooting gallery: Bola slows, Boot Kick sets the mark, and Slam Fire or wolf form handles the bill.
Rejuv’s Silver guide summarizes the practical value cleanly: targets hit by Bola cannot use stamina or movement abilities. SwoleBenji’s March 19 build guide treats slows as chase insurance for werewolf form, because Silver’s target will try to jump, bounce, and scramble out of melee range.
Counterplay
Respect the cast, then use what the patch still leaves open: jumping and mantling are not blocked by Bola after May 22. Spread out against the T3 ricochet, and do not let Silver line up a slow into Boot Kick for free.
Lore And Context
Entangling Bola fits Silver’s bounty-hunter file perfectly. She is not just chasing prey with teeth. She is bringing tools, restraints, and the kind of patience that makes escape routes feel personally insulted.
