Warden Alchemical Flask In Deadlock: How The Slow, Weapon Damage Debuff, And June 11 Tuning Work
Warden 1 is Alchemical Flask, an AoE debuff that damages enemies, slows movement, cuts weapon damage, and got mixed June 11 tuning.
Alchemical Flask is Warden throwing the arrest warrant and the hazard warning in the same bottle.
Short answer: Alchemical Flask is Warden’s opening debuff. He throws a flask that damages enemies, slows them, and reduces their weapon damage, then upgrades it into stamina drain, stronger damage reduction, and fire-rate suppression.

Alchemical Flask Warden throws a flask that damages, slows, and reduces enemy weapon damage, with upgrades that drain stamina and add fire-rate reduction. |
Current Mechanics
Deadlock.one’s current Warden data lists Alchemical Flask with a 12-second cooldown, 5.5m radius, 60 damage with displayed 0.6 spirit scaling, -20 percent move speed, -25 percent weapon damage, 3-second slow duration, and 7-second weapon debuff duration.
That makes Flask the start of Warden’s argument. It does not lock the target down by itself, but it makes the target slower, weaker, and easier to bully into Binding Word range.
Upgrade Path
- 1 AP: hit enemies lose 1 stamina.
- 2 AP: +35 damage and -25 percent weapon damage.
- 5 AP: -7s cooldown, +2m radius, and applies -30 percent fire rate.
The upgrade path turns Flask from poke into a chase starter. Stamina loss punishes escape, the T2 package makes trades uglier for the target, and T3 makes repeated Flask hits feel like a small weather system with a badge.
Key Patch Changes
Valve’s Minor Update – 06-11-2026 reduced Alchemical Flask spirit scaling from 0.73 to 0.63, reduced T2 damage from +40 to +35, and increased T2’s weapon damage reduction from -20 percent to -25 percent.
The same June 11 note also reduced Warden’s bullet falloff from 20m->58m to 18m->47m, which pushes him even harder toward the close-range brawler lane where Flask is meant to matter.
How To Use It
Lead with Flask when you want to make a target fight on worse terms. A slowed, weapon-debuffed enemy has a harder time trading into Warden and a harder time leaving before Binding Word finishes the check.
SwoleBenji’s March 2, 2026 Warden build guide treats Flask as a core pressure and farm tool, especially when paired with damage procs. Deadlock Pro Cast’s April 29 Warden replay guide calls Alchemical Flask a first-priority ability and frames Warden as a frontliner who weakens people before he runs them down.
Counterplay
Do not let Flask become the first step in a longer sentence. If Warden lands it, respect the weapon-damage debuff, spend movement before Binding Word forces a harder escape, and avoid clumping once the radius upgrade is online.
Lore And Context
Deadlock.one summarizes Warden as a brawler who weakens enemies and chases them down. Alchemical Flask is that identity in a bottle: first the debuff, then the chase, then the paperwork.
