Deadlock Outage Reports Spike As Players Hit Network Errors
Community outage monitors flagged Deadlock connection and matchmaking problems on July 13, while SteamStat still showed the Deadlock API as normal.
This looks like a real player-report spike, not yet a clean Valve-confirmed outage.
Deadlock players reported connection and matchmaking failures on Monday, July 13, 2026, with two community outage monitors flagging the game while Steam’s broader status page still showed the Deadlock API as normal.
At 2:36 p.m. CT, OutageScope’s Deadlock page labeled the game “Likely Down” with high confidence. The page showed 253 reports in the previous 24 hours, all within the previous four-hour window, with matchmaking accounting for 191 reports, or about 75 percent. OutageScope listed us-east as the largest regional bucket at 83 reports and Steam as the top platform at 190 reports.
The same OutageScope readout also showed 0 reports in the current hour. That matters: the spike was large enough to treat as a real incident signal, but the page’s own current-hour counter suggested the wave may already have cooled by the time DramaLock checked it.
A second community monitor, IsMyGameDown, was also flagging Deadlock as down. It listed 81 reports over the previous 24 hours, with server connection issues accounting for 62 reports, or 77 percent. Its recent comments were the usual outage poetry: “Unable to join a game now,” “Server Offline,” “network no connection,” and “Network Not Connected.”
The counter-signal is SteamStat. When DramaLock checked, Steam Store, Steam Community, Steam Web API, Steam Connection Managers, and the Deadlock API all showed normal. SteamDB’s Deadlock app page also still showed tens of thousands of players in-game, which does not rule out matchmaking or login trouble but does argue against a clean, total platform-wide collapse.
So the clean read is this: Deadlock had a visible July 13 player-report spike around network, server connection, and matchmaking errors. Valve had not posted a public status note that DramaLock could verify at publication time, and Steam’s broader status indicators were not confirming a Deadlock API outage.
If you are seeing the error in-client, this is probably not just you. If you are already in a match, the public status picture does not yet prove everyone is being kicked at once. The outage monitors are loud; the official/Steam-side signal is quieter.
DramaLock will update this brief if Valve posts a direct statement or if the monitors show a second wave of current-hour reports.
