Deadlock Players Spent Spring 2026 Asking Why Dynamo Was Allowed To Stay Broken
A May 4, 2026 balance rant captured a broader resentment in the Deadlock community: some heroes seemed allowed to stay outrageous for months while others got corrected instantly.
"dyanmo has been broken for 3+ months, infernus was op for 2 or 3 weeks and the most recent patch didnt even really nerf him at all. calico is consistently op, and dont even get me fucking STARTED on paradox."
Every balance discourse needs a villain, and in spring 2026 Deadlock players decided Dynamo had been getting away with murder for too long.
The viral complaint came from @GravesDeadlock on May 4, but the mood had been visible earlier. In April, a huge Reddit thread asked whether Dynamo had been buffed or whether the community had simply woken up to how much his kit was doing at once.
Players kept pointing to the same cluster of problems: his rescue and cleanse utility, his survivability, his ability to neutralize entire damage plans, and the sense that his teamfight value far exceeded the punishment Valve was willing to apply.
What pushed the story beyond one hero was the comparison game. Players were not just mad that Dynamo was strong. They were mad that other heroes got clipped quickly while Dynamo, Calico, Infernus, and Paradox were repeatedly named as examples of lingering imbalance.
